Description

The course aims to ensure that the students have the necessary knowledge & skills enabling them to develop professional competency in the recognition & discussion of different physiological and Pathophysiology aspects of the major body organs and system pertinent to this course and in the application of such competencies in the specialist areas. This course covers the physiological of different organs including physiology of body fluids, blood, nerve and muscle, central nervous system, special senses, autonomic nervous system, defense mechanisms. Physiology of cardiovascular, respiratory, excretory, endocrine and digestive systems organic and energy metabolism exercise and environmental stress are also included. The course also covers the basic concepts of pathophysiology at the cellular level related to injury, the self-defense mechanism, mutation, and cellular proliferation, and the pathological factors that influence the disease process. Clinical manifestations associated with the diseased organ(s).
