The Transport Logistics Management department was established as the first professional department in the Middle East to specialize in transport logistics operations and business. The primary purpose of the TLM Department is to develop an understanding of transport operations and the related logistics activities, so also to develop skills and best practices amongst transport professionals and decision-makers.
The TLM Department makes a significant contribution to resolving the skills deficiency faced by the transport logistics sector. Throughout the years TLM courses have developed to reflect the rapidly changing nature of the transport logistics management sector to equip students for their professional careers. The TLM course portfolio spans across the principles of transport, logistics operations management, transport modeling, multimodal transport chain, planning, and sustainability.
The courses take students across a wide variety of modules within a range of contemporary research topics that can be supervised by professional bodies. TLM students are taught and directed by staff that is not only in front of an academic researcher but also have practical experience as advisers and consultants to high-profile organizations.
