Sustainability of the National Industry in Water and Sanitation Services

As part of supporting and promoting the sustainability and localization of Egyptian industries in the field of water and sanitation, the Academy, based on the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, participated as a golden sponsor in the proceedings of the water talks between the European Union and Egypt, a conference titled "Sustainability of the National Industry in Water and Sanitation Services," held from February 26 to 27, 2024, at the Mirage Hotel in Alexandria, under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities, the European Union Delegation in Cairo, Alexandria Governorate, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, the Union of Egyptian-European Business Associations. The event was honored by the presence of Major General Mohamed Tahir El Sherif, Governor of Alexandria, His Excellency Professor Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Communities, Major General Mahmoud Nafea, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sanitary Drainage Company, and the European Union Ambassador. His Excellency Professor Dr. Alaa Abdel Wahab Abdel Bari, Vice President of the Academy for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, delivered a speech on behalf of the Academy, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rabeh, Dean of the Institute of Productivity and Quality, Professor Dr. Khalid El Kelany, Dean of the Industry Service Complex, and Dr. Abeer Murad, Director of Corporate Communications Management, along with a number of engineering and technology professors. The following faculty members also participated: Dr. Alaa Eddin Ahmed Mohamed Khalil, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, Head of the Chemistry and Petrochemicals Department, Dr. Yahya Yousef from the Chemistry and Petrochemicals Department, and Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Abdel Jalil, Head of the Energy Unit. The Academy also participated in the accompanying exhibition by showcasing its various programs in education, training, and consulting.
