• is course provides an introduction to the care and conservation of books and archival documents. The curriculum includes an overview of the manufacture of books and archival documents through the different historic periods. The course will focus on the chemical and physical composition of the books and archives. The course focuses on the deterioration factors of books and archival documents as well as physical, chemical, biological, and human use deterioration factors. Students will get to know the different methods of examining and analysis of the books and archival documents; traditional and modern methods of care, and conservation of books and archival documents. Training will also be provided on the conservation methods in the excavation archaeological sites and in the conservation laboratories. The curriculum presents the methods of care and conservation of books and archival documents in the museums and public libraries..
