AASTIANS Go Green Initiative: "Arab Youth Green Venture" project (15 March 2022)

This initiative started from the headquarters of the Academy at the Smart Village, in 2020 till present exhibiting a series of awareness and activities events with AAST and the community.  This initiative is part of the Academy's social responsibility and in line with the cooperation agreement signed with His Excellency Major General Mahmoud Shaarawy, the Minister of Local Development, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail, the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, regarding the planning and implementation of the "Always Green Academy" campaign.

The day included various activities, such as the opening of an exhibition showcasing environmental protection projects and activities by distinguished students and graduates of the Academy. A sports marathon was launched as well with the slogan "AASTIANS Go Green," involving the participation of officials, employees, and students, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere.

This day was organized within the framework of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport's participation in the environmental initiative "Prepare for Green," launched by the Ministry of Environment under the patronage of President El-Sisi, as part of the National Sustainable Development Strategy "Egypt 2030.

Visit and preparation of development plan, for AbuKir National Hospital (9 Feb 2022: )

•  to rationalize energy consumption, increase energy saving and improve its efficiency.

This was established by the Energy Unit Head at AASTMT-college of Engineering and Technology as one of the outcomes of the UN Project Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plans (SEACAP 4SDG) 2021-2023.

MoU between AASTMT and Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) (12 Oct. 2021)

The purpose of the MoU is to provide the general framework for cooperation between the parties governing collaborative efforts on deployment of Renewable Energy principals on a non-binding basis, some basic principles regarding the cooperation AASTMT and HBRC. Furthermore, foster applied research projects and curriculum and instruction development that are driven by challenges faced in the energy sector. The AASTMT is a part of the consortium of the Erasmus Plus “WESET” project “Wind Engineering Skills in Egypt and Tunisia”, Project Number: Project Number: 586039-EPP-1- 2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP. The AASTMT and HBRC recognize the many benefits of an academic partnership in an increasingly interdependent world, and therefore, they hereby register their intentions to establish formal links between the Wind Energy Center built within the WESET project in the AASTMT and the HBRC.
