Workshop about electric vehicle (12 Oct. 2022)
organized by College of Engineering and Technology (Abu Kir Campus) Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering in collaboration with Energy Research Unit to increase awareness on GREEN ENRGY, its production, storage and transport along with its use in electric vehicles.

Organized by the Energy Unit in AASTMT- College of Engineering and Technology. The workshop presented the role of AASTMT Energy Unit regarding research, consultancy and community service.
1- Establishing solar energy plants at the academy in the Alexandria and Aswan branches, with a total capacity of 200 KW;
2- Establishing an automated system to monitor loads in order to study consumption and make plans for rationalization;
3- Participate in preparing study programs (Bachelor’s and Master’s) and training in the field of renewable energy and management of energy systems and electricity networks;
4- Establishing a committee for energy management and rationalization at the level of the Academy in Alexandria in order to conduct studies and review designs for all new facilities and raise the efficiency of old facilities.
5- Managing a team that includes representatives of faculty members and students to prepare documents and initiatives in the field of energy and environment as one of the important criteria for classifying universities based on the sustainable development standards approved by the United Nations;
6- Participation in research projects funded locally and internationally that serve the academy and society in the field of energy conservation and efficiency raising.
41 students from the Academy`s branches from Abu Qir, Wabour Al Mayah, Smart Village and Heliopolis participated in the event. The main purpose of the initiative was to:
