Program Description

Mass communication Studies in CLC is divided into two main majors; 1) Radio and TV Production where students acquire knowledge and skills to produce and present audio and visual materials such as TV shows, Radio Programs and Drama, Short films and documentaries, 2) Digital Media where students develop their knowledge and skills in writing different types of articles, create and edit newspapers and magazines either printed or online. Also, students acquire knowledge about Integrated marketing communication where students integrate between multiple disciplines such as advertising, public relations and digital marketing, Digital marketing to develop their skills in working at media agencies.

Learning Outcomes

  • 1)Understand the laws of the press and media outlets and identify the governing regulations of freedom of expression and embracing difference. 2)Be familiar with the basics of writing style of news stories traditional and digital journalism platforms in both Arabic and English languages. 3)Recognize different media and communication theories and research methods exploring the role of media in society. 4)Discuss the role of digital media environment in changing the media concepts, formats and strategies. 5)Apply technological and statistical skills, business concepts, and psychological notions in understanding both traditional and digital media content. 6)Utilize video and audio editing skills, photography skills, videography and cinematography skills and practice them in various projects. 7)Develop the ability to work efficiently in a team. 8)Master effective presentations skills. 9)Enhance research and analytical skills.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements that must be met by all students Who would like to join / enroll in the College for undergraduate degree are: Holder of High School Certificate or any Equivalent.

Tests & Prerequisites

Sitting for and passing the placement test is a must to enroll in all majors in the AASTMT.
