Description

This course introduces the principles and practices of Quality and Safety Management Systems. It covers the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of systems designed to ensure product and service quality, workplace safety, and organizational performance. Topics include quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, performance measurement, auditing, risk assessment, hazard identification, incident prevention, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement. The course also examines relevant international standards and management frameworks, with emphasis on integrating quality and safety requirements into organizational and project activities. By the end of the course, students will be able to: Explain the fundamental principles and components of quality and safety management systems. Differentiate between quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control. Identify workplace hazards and conduct basic risk assessments. Apply appropriate quality and safety procedures and control measures. Analyze the role of auditing, monitoring, and performance evaluation in management systems. Develop corrective and preventive actions to address quality and safety issues. Apply continuous improvement approaches to enhance organizational performance.
