Description

This course introduces the principles and practical applications of feasibility studies and financial management. It covers the main components of project feasibility analysis, including market, technical, operational, economic, and financial feasibility. The course also examines financial planning and management tools such as budgeting, cost estimation, revenue forecasting, cash-flow analysis, break-even analysis, and investment appraisal. Students will learn how to evaluate project profitability, financial performance, and risks to support effective decision-making and sustainable project development. By the end of the course, students will be able to: Explain the purpose and main components of a feasibility study. Conduct basic market, technical, operational, and financial feasibility analyses. Prepare project budgets and estimate costs, revenues, and cash flows. Apply basic financial analysis and investment appraisal techniques. Evaluate project profitability and financial viability. Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects. Use financial information to support effective project and business decision-making. Develop a basic feasibility study and financial plan for a proposed project.
