This course introduces the principles and practical applications of feasibility studies and marketing for Blue Economy projects. It covers the main components of a feasibility study, including market, technical, financial, economic, environmental, and social analysis. Students will also explore marketing principles, market research, customer analysis, market segmentation, positioning, and marketing strategies for marine and ocean-based projects. Particular emphasis is placed on developing sustainable, innovative, and economically viable blue projects. By the end of the course, students will be able to: Explain the purpose and main components of a feasibility study. Conduct preliminary market, technical, financial, and environmental assessments for a Blue Economy project. Identify market opportunities and analyze customer needs and target markets. Apply marketing concepts and strategies to marine and ocean-based products and services. Evaluate the economic and financial viability of a proposed blue project. Develop a basic feasibility study and marketing plan for a sustainable Blue Economy project. Present and justify project proposals based on economic, environmental, and social sustainability criteria.

To introduce fundamental marketing concepts and strategies applicable to marine and ocean-based products and services. To enable students to conduct market analysis, identify target customers, and evaluate market opportunities. To develop students’ ability to prepare and evaluate sustainable business and project proposals within the Blue Economy. To promote innovative and sustainable approaches to project development and marketing.
