Description

This course aims at offering Master students the advanced skills for formulating and manufacturing modified-release preparations and targeted drug delivery systems. The student will be provided with skills regarding utility of the different components of these dosage forms together with the different drug release mechanisms and to apply the acquired knowledge in formulation and troubleshooting related to drug properties and/or formulation stability. Furthermore, formulation aspects and application of polymers and excipients to solve problems/issues concerning the optimization of absorption, selective transport, and targeting are included.
