At the end of this course students will be able to : 1-Acknowledge the role of logistics management, different inventory management optimization tactics and warehousing processes. 2- Design strategic plans and suitable programs for supply chain through broad and deep understanding of major SC disciplines 3- Recommend logistics decisions and design supply chain strategies based on demand management model. 4- Analyze the different types of software applications related to sales, operation handling and ERP systems 5- Select and implement appropriate Information Technology Systems (ITS) strategies and developed software to integrate global trends with decision making. 6- Conduct research into logistics and supply chain management issues and analyze statistical data based on logical scientific steps. 7- Work in teams to develop leadership skills. 8- Develop oral, written, technology supported communication skills

Objectives

  • This course aims at enhancing the knowledge and understanding of the state-of-art within industry 4.0 and innovative logistics. It also aims at analyzing the characteristics of the supply chain systems to evaluate the performance of operations in public and private sectors. Moreover, this course aims to identify and evaluate appropriate new technologies for logistics companies that help efficiency improvement, better customer service and higher profitability. Finally, it aims at describing and recognising the opportunities and the challenges related to collaboration as firms engage in IT-related process innovation across a supply chain.
