At the end of this course students wil be able to : 1. Acknowledge warehouse management activity as a logistics activity and explain the different storage methods, storage configurations, and Material handling equipment that can be used 2. Define basic criteria for storage layout. Explain the main processes that take place inside the warehouse ( 3. Define the roles, responsibilities, design strategies and policies that organize the work in warehouses. Identify the types of information technology that can be applied in warehouses and the locations of stores in the supply chain and know their classifications. 4. Discuss ideas and views clearly and express opinion in a scientific way with evidence and objectivity and differentiate between the different storage methods and systems. 5. Explain the selection criteria of storage system and handling equipment and plan how to design the layout of a warehouse and presents it clearly based on a scientific method. 6. Calculate the size of storage area and storage price service using different methods for pricing. 7. Define the main decisions of the warehouse manager, employ the material, human resources and other resources to achieve the objectives of warehouse management and select the relevant software for warehouse operations such as "3PL central ". 8. Apply various performance management methods to measure store performance and apply innovative solutions to solve problems and determine the required number of equipment to be used in the store 9. Adopt technical terms related to the field of warehouse management and recruit material, human and other resources to achieve the objectives of warehouse management. 10. Discuss ideas and views clearly and express opinion in a scientific way with evidence and objectivity and differentiate between the different storage methods and systems. 11.
