Description

The course focuses on the kinds and amounts of macronutrients (carbohydrates, fat, and proteins) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that are needed to maintain optimal health and prevent chronic disease in adults. The course also covers healthy life-style measurement, Macronutrients and calculation of calories, Basal metabolic rate (BMR), Recommended daily allowance (RDA), Nutritional requirement for pediatrics and geriatrics, Clinical dietary care will be discussed. The course also covers intravenous fluid, total parental nutrition, as well as nutraceuticals (products derived from food source with certain health benefits), dietary supplements and herbal products and specific diets
