Description

This course introduces the students to the various technologies utilized in drug manufacturing. The design of equipment used for the basic unit operations of mixing, size enlargement or reduction, emulsification, centrifugation, evaporation, drying, crystallization filtration and others is studied. A focus on the application of these unit operations in pharmaceutical industry with emphasis on the more sophisticated equipment used during the production and packaging of different dosage forms will be provided.
