Objectives

  • The major objective of this course is to develop an understanding and appreciation of Finance theories as they apply to corporate financial decisions and to understand the implications for problem solving. As a result of this course, students should be able to: 1. Extend their knowledge of finance to the areas of investments, asset pricing and related research methods, 2. Direct their effort to publish in a refereed journal. 3. Gain an understanding of the classic work in each subject area, as well as some of the most recent advances in corporate finance.
