Discuss characteristics of Broadcasting. Define broadcasting as an industry. List broadcast equipment, including the camera and tapes. Define formats and terminology of radio and television. Identify the basics of preparing, writing, and presenting radio and television programs. Illustrate the features of radio as a mass medium. Write radio scripts. Identify outside Broadcast channels and types. Identify the different patterns of radio and TV programs, their characteristics, and methods of production. Acquire an overview of the different stages of radio &TV production starting from choosing ideas, preparation, presentation, photography, editing and directing and finally producing different patterns of radio and TV programs. Recognize the different types of programs (ex: cultural and educational programs) and their role in the communities. Recognize the specialized radio stations and specialized channels and their role in meeting the needs of their target audience. Identify the main camera parts and the electronic features. Point the elements of effective visual composition. Understand the main camera movements. Explain the advantages of digital broadcasting over analogue broadcasting. Analyze audio reporting techniques. Illustrate characteristics of radio as a mass medium. Evaluate various formats of radio& television production.
