Description

This course aims to develop an understanding of the general and applied linguistic issues that have a bearing on the learning and teaching of English as a foreign language. It will also provide a comprehensive overview of the many and diverse areas in applied linguistics today. The content gives brief background knowledge on second language acquisition to discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, and classroom practice together they emphasize the reciprocal relationship of principle and practice, and the interdisciplinary nature of applied linguistics.
