This course is about the use of modern statistical methods for quality control and improvement. It provides broad exposure ranging from basic principle of statistical process control to state-of-the art concepts and applications of statistical quality control. The aim of the course is to give students a sound understanding of the basis for applying these methods in a variety of managerial and industrial situations. A major objective of the course is to widen the use of these concepts in a six sigma application.
