The course is tailored to assist the students to gain the knowledge about drugs used to manage main diseases affecting the cardiovascular system, dyslipidemias, hypertension, coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, dysrhythmias, thromboembolic disorders, and stroke. The drugs are discussed relevant to their possible structure – activity relationships, contraindications, prodrug and bioactivation concepts, if any, their possible metabolism and elimination.
