This is a course to acquaint the beginning pharmacy student with the multiple aspects of the profession of pharmacy including the mission of pharmacy, role of pharmacist in society and pharmacy careers, different basic scientific disciplines involved in the study of pharmacy, classification of medications, interpretation of medication errors and standard drug information resources. In addition to providing the students with a broad knowledge on different pharmaceutical dosage forms, pharmaceutical packaging technology (metals, glass, plastic) and various routes of drug administration.
