This course familiarizes students with MIS terms, concepts, methods and tools. The course provides a management oriented focus on computer and information processing functions and systems, history, terminology and economics of hardware and software; focusing on the design, selection, evaluation and use of Information Technology in business enterprise. It focuses upon implementation of Information Technology as a strategic weapon for improving productivity and competitive advantage.

  • 1. Be certified as Lead Auditor in ISO 27001(after passing the international exam). 2. Gain knowledge of fundamental concepts of information systems and electronic commerce. 3. Analysis information systems in a variety of contexts using a range of appropriate approaches and methodologies. 4. Critically evaluate managerial and operational implications of changing technology and rationally formulate and implement changes for improving performance in an organization or enterprise. 5. Understand the relationship between information security management systems, including the management of risks and controls and the various stakeholders. 6. Prepare and complete an audit report ISO 27001.
