The course targets upper-intermediate students training for or would like to be employed in the tourism industry. It introduces reviews and extends the key language and communication skills needed in order to work effectively in this challenging international sector. The course includes a variety of practical and realistic output tasks that enable the students to practice the 4 language skills through activities and situations, associated with their careers. This course introduces students to tourist information and report writing. It tackles writing workshop on dictionary skills and bibliographic citation, report format and summarizing. It presents terminology of promotion and marketing in tourism. It tackles terminology of the development of tourism. It prepares the terminology of guiding. The students are asked to prepare a mini project during the term, to present their presentation skills and language skills. It prepares students to writing the seminar. It develops their presentation skills for the seminar presentation. In addition, it prepares students to write their report after the internship period and introduce them to the context of writing reports.
