Description

This course provides a definition for human resources and a tracing of historic changes in human resources. It explores the role and duties of human resources managers and the human resources planning. It analyzes the workplace (job related terminology, job analysis, job descriptions and job specifications). It provides methods for human resources inventories and analysis of the labor market and hospitality marketplace. It introduces selection, hiring, placement, hospitality orientation and training programs, evaluating performance and employee retention and reward systems (compensation and benefits). Then, it tackles the multiculturalism in the hospitality workplace and human resources management challenges of the future.
