The student can determine the biochemical composition of thernbody. He knows the structure of proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids. He can determinernthe enzymatic activity. He knows metabolic processes in cells. The student uses the acquiredrnknowledge in practical classes and training.

Explain/describe the synthesis of proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and carbohydratesrnand their role in metabolic pathways along with their regulation at the epigenetic,rntranscriptional, translational, and post-translational levels including RNA andrnprotein folding, modification, and degradation.rn2. Explain/describe different methods to test for the chemical behavior ofrnbiomolecules proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates.rn3. Analyze primary literature. This will include evaluation of experimentalrntechniques, the use of controls and hypothesis testing by published authors.rn4. Use analytical skills to identify problems.rnD.
