This course will cover the traditional freight forwarding activities, but apply them to an international context. In addition, the commercial activities of orders, payments, and documentation will be discussed, as will the role of intermediaries such as consolidators, agents freight forwarders. International freight forwarding must take into account the differences in cultures, currency, rules, regulations, International law and transportation systems; these factors make it much more complex than domestic logistics, therefore clearly emphasizing and understanding the role of an International freight forwarder in the movement of goods from point of departure to the point of arrival.
