This course aims at providing a general introduction to statistical methods for students in all academic disciplines. Topics include: descriptive methods and the presentation of data, a thorough treatment of the Basic concepts of probability, techniques of statistical inference and decision-making through hypothesis testing, the methods of correlation and regression analysis, and the application of non-parametric methods in various subject areas.
