AASTMT President at the Republic of Sudan

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), and an elite AASTMT delegation visited the Republic of Sudan. During the visit, H.E. AASTMT President and the accompanying delegation met Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour - Governor of the Red Sea State in Port Sudan. They discussed improving relations between AASTMT and Sudan. As H.E. Ambassador Ali Youssef - Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. AASTMT President and the accompanying delegation on Sunday 1- 12- 2024, at the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They discussed supporting cooperation focusing on education, training, scientific research, consulting, and partnership to enhance scientific cooperation and help develop Sudanese human cadres, particularly in the areas of international transport and logistics. Then, they met Lieutenant General Eng. Ahmed Aba Bakr Yahia - Director of the Naval College, Commander of the Naval Forces, and Military Academy President, as well as several officials. They reviewed the most important areas of joint cooperation in the fields of maritime and technological education and training, in addition to discussing the ways to strengthen relations during working sessions. As they also highlighted AASTMT eagerness to offer educational and training programs.

Moreover, AASTMT President and AASTMT delegation met H.E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Dahab - Sudanese Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as keeping on the framework of strengthening cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, and in line with the aspirations of the two parties and serving their common interests. Then, they visited the Sudanese Ministry of Transport and the Sea Ports Authority and met H.E. Eng. Abu Bakr Abu Al-Qasim - Sudanese Minister of Transport, and H.E. Captain Mohamed Hassan - Director of the Sudanese Sea Ports Authority, as well as several department directors and staff members of the General Administration of Maritime Operations,  as to sign cooperation agreements to support the opening of AASMT branch in Port Sudan.
