"Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of China" Delegation at AASTMT

Within the framework of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) keenness on always looking forward to new future horizons, AASTMT received an elite delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of China headed by H.E. Ms. Lin Xin - Vice Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Sun Jian - Head of the International Relations Sector, Mr. Xiao Wei - Deputy Head of the International Relations Sector, Mr. Zhang Dongqing - Secretary General of the Minister's Office, and Mr. Zhang Huasheng - Scientific and Technological Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo. The visit was held on Tuesday 30- 7- 2024, at AASTMT Smart Village Campus.

During the visit, the delegation met AASTMT Smart Village Campus officials, as they discussed different methods to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of transferring technology. They additionally attempted to identify mechanisms for implementing joint projects in the fields of scientific research and training, which could assist in the development of the technological and scientific infrastructure for both parties. As, they discussed ideas about encouraging collaboration in order to maintain the advancement of scientific cadres in the field of modern technology. Then, the delegation had a tour at the campus with the latest technologies and equipment used in the IoT, electric vehicle, mechatronics, and renewable energy laboratories. The delegation also visited AASTMT China-Arab Technology Transfer Center, Entrepreneurship Center, and the Nanotechnology Center as to witness the most recent developments and achievements in these fields.
