The campaign "Your gift... your health" on the occasion of Mother's Day
Under the auspices of Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Faraj, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and as part of the celebration of Mother's Day by the College of Language and Communication in the Smart Village campus, under the supervision of Prof. Hanan Youssef, Dean of the College, “The Social Responsibility Club” launched its first health awareness campaign entitled "Your Gift... Your Health". Led by two victims of Auto Immune Diseases, Mariam Khaled and Mariam Kheir, the campaign aimed to raise young girls’ and ladies’ awareness of these diseases. The two students shared their personal experiences and their journey with immune diseases and how they managed to challenge them and challenge the accompanying psychological symptoms with the support of their parents, doctors and their college.
Cardiologist Amr Bastaweesy, Journalist and writer Muhammad Ali Khair, Artist Badriya Toulba, Dr. Reda El-Sayed Suleiman, the psychiatric consultant at the Smart Village branch, and Dr. Sara El-Saadany from Architecture Department were part of the panel discussion developed in this regard.
