The academy was crowned in Cairo with the first place Cup in the student championship and the first place Cup in the female student championship in the private universities Speedball Championship
Under the patronage of H. E. Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, H. E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and sports ,and H. E. Dr. Ismail Abdul Ghaffar, president of the Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport
The Department of sports affairs in Cairo at the Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport in Cairo organized the fifth sector championship for Egyptian universities and private higher institutes of Speedball on the Academy's playgrounds at the Eagles Air Force Club.
The results of the Academy's students were as follows:-
- World champion Alaa Adel Imam achieved three gold medals in competitions (solo students-individual students-mixed doubles)
- Our young hero Yassin Ahmed Salah achieved the gold of individual students
- Our young champion Sama Rami Ahmed achieved gold in the mixed doubles, silver in the students 'solo competitions and bronze in the students' singles
- Our young champion Maryam Mohammed Al-Serafi won bronze in solo competitions for female students
- Our young hero Mahmoud al-Gharib achieved gold in singles competitions
