Signing a cooperation protocol between Port Training Institute and Borg El Arab Technological University.

On Monday, September 18, 2023, Professor .Mohamed Morsi El Gohary, President of Borg El Arab Technological University, received a delegation from Port Training Institute ,PTI, led by Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, accompanied by Dr. Gamal Abd El Nasser, Director of Education and Training Department, and Dr. Essam El-Din Moustafa, head of the Unplanned Programs and Marketing Department.

During the meeting, the delegation from the institute and the university president held discussions in the presence of several college deans from the university. The institute aims to establish productive partnerships with various institutions and provide its training services, leveraging its distinguished educational resources, including laboratories, simulators, technical workshops, and practical maritime training, to support Egyptian youth in preparing for the job market.

Building upon the fruitful collaboration between Port Training Institute and Borg El Arab Technological University, both parties agreed to sign a cooperation protocol, including the following points:

Enrollment of Borg El Arab Technological University students in Port Training Institute Basic Seafarer Studies Program (Marine Mechanic - Maritime) for a three-month course, qualifying graduates for obtaining a maritime passport.

Continuation of summer training for Borg El Arab Technological University students at Port Training Institute

Collaboration on training Borg El Arab Technological University students in training programs and practical training using crane simulators, laboratories, and engineering workshops at Port Training Institute

Collaboration between Borg El Arab Technological University and Port Training Institute to develop a Ports Logistics program for employment in ports, shipping companies, and maritime agencies.

This collaboration aligns with the role played by PTI in preparing trained human resources to serve the maritime sector, container terminals, and maritime transportation in Egypt and Arab countries.
