External visits to implement the Sustainable Development Goals for the Industrial Technical Secondary School for Water Supply and Sanitation for Boys in Alexandria

Under the supervision of Mr. Jaber Mustafa, the school's principal, the school had the honor of receiving a visit from a committee representing the School's Cooperation Protocol with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. The committee included:

  • Dr. Mustafa Abdel Jalil, Head of the Energy Unit at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.
  • Eng. Hiyam Ahmed, Solar Energy Engineer at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.

The purpose of the visit was to develop the school in the field of sustainable development, with a focus on energy conservation. The committee expressed their admiration for the school, its students, and the modern educational facilities. They were accompanied by several engineers from the company to exchange experiences regarding electricity consumption reduction, as the school is known for its expertise in water conservation among leading schools.

The visiting gentlemen were also accompanied by:

  • Mr. Amr Khamees, General Manager of Energy Conservation at the Alexandria Water Company.
  • Mr. Samar Badr, Director of the Solar Energy Department at the Alexandria Water Company.
  • Mr. Walaa Sayed Ahmed, Director of the Maintenance Department at the Alexandria Water Company.

The visitors were received by:

  • Mr. Jaber Mustafa Abdou, the school's principal.
  • Dr. Islam Anwar, representing the school's teaching staff.

They provided detailed information about the school's facilities, admission system, and the areas that can be relied upon to conserve energy and water consumption in different schools. The visitors also toured some classrooms and halls of the school to learn about the latest teaching methods used at the school and discuss innovative ways to reduce energy and water waste with some of the students.
