Receiving "International Olympiad in Informatics" Flag in Hungary

As keeping on the announcement that the Arab Republic of Egypt, represented by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will host the activities of the 36th edition of the International Olympiad in Informatics, with the participation of 109 countries around the world in September 2024, the event of receiving the flag of the 35th International Olympiad in Informatics was held in Szeged in Hungary, in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, H.E. Eng. Ghada Labib - Deputy Minister for Institutional Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Counselor Heba Negm – Egypt’s Deputy Ambassador in Hungary, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail - AASTMT President Advisor for Informatics Affairs, Dr. Ahmed El Shenawy - Dean of AASTMT Regional Informatics Center, Eng. Wael Eweida - Member of IOI Technical Committee and Eng. Islam Wageed - Member of IOI International Committee and Executive Director.

It is worth noting that during the participation in the activities of the thirty-fifth International Olympiad in Informatics, the Egyptian team won 4 bronze medals, as this is the 2nd time where all the team members have won medals since Egypt's participation in the Olympiads in 2001\.
