Economic and Social Council of the Arab League States “Ministerial Session” Meeting
In light of the meeting activities of the 112th Ministerial Session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League on Thursday 31- 8- 2023, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President at the head of a high-level delegation participated in the meeting. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Mohammed Hizam Al-Ashwal - Minister of Industry and Trade in the Republic of Yemen, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, with the participation of the concerned ministers in economic, financial and commercial affairs of the Arab member states, in addition to the heads and officials of specialized Arab organizations.
The meeting dealt with adopting the decisions arising from the experts’ preparatory meetings on social and economic issues of common Arab interest, following up on the implementation of the economic and social decisions issued by the previous session and preparing the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit’s files in its 5th session in the Republic of Mauritania which is scheduled to be held next November. The meeting also tackled the agreement on the included topics in the economic and social files for the upcoming summit in the 33rd regular session scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain next year, in addition to the adoption of a number of decisions to deepen the integration between Arab countries and increase the Arab trade exchange.
