The Academy President meets a delegation from the Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA).
Today, Monday, His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, met with a delegation from the Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA), which is considered one of the most prestigious accrediting bodies for architectural schools in the world.
The meeting comes within the framework of renewing the accreditation of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design in the Academy’s Alexandria and Smart Village branches.
The delegation was headed by Dr. Sally Stewart, and was accompanied by Dr. Sarah Biscaya, architect Nigar Mihnyar, in addition to Sophie Bialy, Head of Accreditations at RIBA, and Prof. Dr.. Basil Kamel as a local representative. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in Alexandria, Professor Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salami, and the heads of the departments of architecture in Alexandria and the Smart Village.
For his part, His Excellency Professor Dr., President of the Academy, explained the strategic objectives of the Academy and his future vision for the Academy and its colleges.
During the meeting, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag also explained the important role played by the Academy’s College of Engineering and Technology to provide a distinguished graduate capable of competing in the labor market.
  He also explained to the delegation the resources that the Academy provides to the engineering colleges and its great support for the architectural engineering departments in all branches of the Academy.
