Community participation and attendance of a scientific conference on Therapeutics and cosmetics from natural sources

Upon the kind invitation of Prof. Mona Heta, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Fayoum University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Professor of Pharmaceutics, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Evan Saad, Dean of the college of pharmacy AASTMT-Alamein, participated in the activities of the conference held under the title "Therapeutics and Cosmetics from Natural Sources" on Tuesday, May 10th 2022.
Constructive discussions were held on the sidelines of the conference with some of the symbols and figures of the pharmacy field including Prof. Maher Al-Damaty, Head of the Pharmacy Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities, and Prof. Ayman Al-Khatib, Vice-President of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), which dealt with education, training and other matters.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman gave some recorded conversations, radio and press interviews to the Egyptian Radio and ‘Al youm al markazy’ newspaper, in which he addressed the requirements for the registration of pharmaceutical products, whether Medical, veterinary, or cosmetics.
He also discussed the strict rules set by the Drug Authority to ensure the safety and efficacy of any product before it is allowed to be commercially traded in the market, and the importance of natural sources as safe sources of these preparations.
