A Visit from The Pharmaceutical Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities

On Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, The academy's main library at Abu-Qir campus had the privilege of receiving a visit from The Pharmaceutical Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities. The visitors were Prof. Dr.Mervat Amin Kassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University, Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Hamid El-Aasar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University and Prof. Dr. Haitham Maymoun, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Menofia University.

The visit was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Amira Senbel, Dean of the College of Pharmacy Abu-Qir Campus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amira Khattab, Vice Dean for Students Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rasha Abu Al-Khair, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and other college members.
During the visit, members of the committee met with The Library Directory, Ms.Naglaa Yacout. They were also given a tour at the library by Ms.Samira Abdel Meguid, Head of Information Services Dept. who shared with them information about the various services offered by the library to support students in their research and academic pursuits. The committee members were interested to learn about the library's interlibrary loan service, which allows students and researchers to access materials from other AASTMT libraries that may not be available in the main library's collection. The visitors were able to see the collection of resources available to students and researchers.
The visit served as a reminder of the important role that libraries play in supporting academic research and collaboration in the academic community.
