In the context of opening new horizons for cooperation between Port Training Institute and the American University in the Emirates, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport received His Excellency Dr. Muthanna Abdul Razzaq, President of the American University in the Emirates, and the accompanying delegation on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the campus of the Academy in Abu Qir. They were accompanied by Dr. Ayman Taher Ghanem, Assistant to the President of the Academy for Ceremonies and External Relations. The visit was attended by Dr. Sarah El-Gazzar, Dean of the International Transport and Logistics College,    Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Dean of the Research and Consulting Center for the Maritime Transport Sector, and Dr. Hisham Helal, Dean of Maritime Studies Institute.

The visit included the Astronomical Dome Center, the Integrated Simulators Complex, the Maritime Safety Institute, simulators at the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, and the Industry Modernization Center.

His Excellency and the accompanying delegation then visited Port Training Institute, where they were welcomed by Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, and the senior officials  at the Institute.

The guests were then taken to the meeting hall to discuss areas of cooperation between the American University in the Emirates and the Institute in the field of training and qualifying human resources, with a presentation on the Institute's capabilities. The guests also toured the Institute and the complex of port equipment simulators.

This comes within the framework of the Port Training Institute's keenness to activate strong partnerships in Arab countries in order to expand the provision of training services for qualifying and training Arab human resources in the field of ports and maritime transport.
