His Excellency the President of the Academy, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, His Excellency the Governor of Alexandria General Mohamed Taher AlSharif, Prof. Hossam Moghazi Former Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Prof. Yosri El Gamal Former Minister of Education and Advisor to the President of the Academy, Prof hesham Seoudy Head of the Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria and Mr. Wing, General Manager of CSCEC, inaugurated an exhibition by the Architecture and Environmental Design Department in the field of City and Regional Planning, amidst the events of the "Engineering Industrial Conference". The inauguration was witnessed by an ensemble of esteemed guests and professors from the AAST in presence of Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman ElSelmy, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, and Prof.Dr.Adham Abulnour, Head of the Architecture and Environmental Design Department.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adel El Menshawy professor of city and regional planning Prof. Mohamed ayoub, Dr. Hamad Hassan and Dr. Walid Abaza lecturer of city and regional planning, a group of students presented the exhibited projects within the theme of developing Alexandria city center squares (Mosques Square in Ras El-Tin, Al-Mansheya Square and Misr Station Square).

The Department also dedicated a mural proposal for the facade of its building designed by the graffiti artist Arch. Amr Diwan.
