"Third International Logistics Camp 2023" at AASTMT Alamein Campus

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) College of International Transport and Logistics (Alamein Campus) in cooperation with Andalusia Hospitals Group organized the activities of the 3rd International Logistics Camp 2023 that entitled “Management of Healthcare Supply Chains”, during the period from 7 - 9 August, 2023, at AASTMT Alamein Campus.

AASTMT Alamein Campus College of International Transport and Logistics Camp was held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, H.E. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Awad Tag Eddin - Advisor to the President of Egypt for Health Affairs, H.E. Major General Dr. Tarek Abdel Rahman - Vice President of Unified Procurement Authority (UPA), H.E. Prof. Dr. Bahaa El-Din Zidan - Chairman of Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement (UPA), H.E. Prof. Dr. Aiman El-Khatib - Vice President of Egyptian Drug Authority, H.E. Prof. Dr. Amira Tahio - Undersecretary of Ministry of Health in Alexandria, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Onsy - Chairman of Alexandria Pharmacists Syndicate and H.E. Mr. Khaidr Kamal – Representative of United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), in addition to the participation of members of local and international entities, as well as AASTMT officials.

The camp is considered to be one of the annual activities of AASTMT Alamein Campus College of International Transport and Logistics that aims at developing the abilities and skills of students and graduates in various fields related to the logistics and supply chains sector. So, the camp activities included a discussion and introduction to students on the progress of medical technology’s application in supply chains, reviewing the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population and analyzing the relationship between supply chain management practices and improvement of the quality level of health services.
