Visit of a high-level delegation led by H.E Dean of the College of Maritime Resources at the Asmarya Islamic University in Libya to Port Training Institute.

With the aim of opening new horizons for cooperation between Port Training Institute, PTI  and Arab institutions and universities, Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, received on Monday, June 12, 2023, the delegation from the Amaria Islamic University in Libya, led by H.E Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Shakshak, Dean of the College of Maritime Resources. The delegation was accompanied by Professor Balaqasim Mohamed Ramadan Al-Awaj, the Director of the Maritime Training Center at the university, Dr. Ramadan Altahir Ali Masbah, the Advisor at the Libyan Delegation to the Arab University, and Professor Abu Bakr Qajum, a faculty member at the college. Also present with them was Dr. Nasr Abdul Rahman Nasr, the Director of the Maritime Training Programs Department at the Maritime Affairs Headquarters.

The guests were taken to the meeting hall, where they were welcomed by the responsible centers at PTI The meeting began with welcoming the esteemed guests and discussing areas of mutual cooperation between the university and the institute in the field of training and education. A presentation was given on the institute's capabilities.

The guests were also taken on a tour to inspect the laboratories, workshops, the port equipment simulator complex, and the E-management laboratory. The delegation commended the institute's capabilities and its development.

This comes as part of Port Training Institute's commitment to activating strong partnerships in Arab countries in order to expand the provision of training services to qualify and train Arab human resources in the field of ports and maritime transport.
