Participation of Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy in the International Forum for MedPorts in Barcelona, Spain

As part of PTI efforts to open new avenues for collaboration with MedPorts, strengthen relations, and exchange expertise in the fields of maritime training and education,     Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of the Ports Training Institute, participated in the International Forum for Medports, in collaboration with the MedPorts Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum was held on the sidelines of the 25^th  International Logistics Salon (SIL) in Barcelona, Spain, from June 8^th to 9^th, 2023. He also participated in a panel discussion that addressed the challenges facing ports in light of international changes.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Alaa Morsy presented the role of the Ports Training Institute in developing the capabilities of port workers, raising awareness of the latest developments, and how to anticipate the future, crisis management, and the ability of institutions to recover from external developments.

This forum coincides with the General Assembly of MedPorts association meeting, which is also taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

It is worth mentioning that the Ports Training Institute is a member of MedPorts association and has cooperative relationships in implementing some training programs with certain MedPorts, such as the Port of Valencia in Spain and the Port Training Institute in Marseille.
