Activities of "AASTMT - Naif Arab University for Security Sciences - European Agency for Border and Coast Guard - United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism" Scientific seminar

Within the framework of the scientific seminar organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in cooperation with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the European Agency for Border and Coast Guard (Frontex) and the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism during period frpm 30- 5- 2023 to 1- 6- 2023, at AASTMT Alamein Campus, the activities of the scientific seminar that entitled "Integrated Border Management" were held, in implementation of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action’s decision, chaired by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
The activities were held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, H.E. Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Harfash - Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Vice Dean for External Relations, H.E. Prof. Dr. Bahgat Abu El-Nasr - League of Arab States Director of the Arab Economic Integration Department, and H.E. Mr. Ian Gallia - European Border and Coast Guard Agency Leader of the International Cooperation Team with Africa and the Middle East, and a number of delegations from Arab and foreign countries and international European and Arab security organizations. Added to that, 110 specialists from 13 Arab and foreign countries have participated in this seminar, such as: Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iraq, Qatar, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, in addition to Finland, Portugal, Greece and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the League of Arab States (LAS), and the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council General Secretariat.
On the sidelines of the seminar, the attendees toured AASTMT Alamein Campus where everyone praised the level of excellence and different quality offered in terms of the technology used and the various facilities provided by AASTMT to support the educational process, as well as the efforts exerted and the high coordination level between various parties.
