Arab Entrepreneurship and Innovation Rally Finale At Expo Dubai 2020.

In the Presence of the Secretary General of the Arab League, the heads of UNIDO Bahrain, the Union of Arab chambers, and the President of the Arab Academy for science, technology and Maritime Transport, the winners of the Arab Rally were announced on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020, the Global forum for Entrepreneurs and Investment, and the Annual Investment Meeting.
On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, the Arab Rally for Entrepreneurship Competition concluded its second edition, which was held in parallel with the global forum for entrepreneurs and investment, and the Annual Investment Meeting on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020 with the participation of hundreds of business leaders, government officials, academics and businessmen.
In honor of His Excellency the Secretary General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the heads of UNIDO Bahrain, Dr. Hashim Hussein and the Union of Arab chambers, Mr. Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Dr. Khalid Hanafi secretary general of the Union, and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for science and technology, and the announcement of the winners from the Arab countries.
The "Arab rally for Entrepreneurship" Competition acquires great importance as an initiative for distinguished Arab and regional cooperation carried out by the Arab Academy with the support and strategic partnership of the General Union of Arab chambers and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization-UNIDO – Bahrain and under the auspices and support of the chambers of Commerce and industry of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, and other Arab actors, where more than twenty Arab countries participated in the competition in its second edition of young entrepreneurs, university students and graduates in order to connect them to the needs of the labor market and create more opportunities to contribute to sustainable development in the Arab region.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, president of the Arab Academy, explained that supporting creativity, innovation and continuous development is one of the pillars of sustainability of academic and practical excellence at the Academy, comes in continuation of the successes achieved by the competition, which was launched by the Arab Academy in Egypt five years ago, and aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs and innovators،
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar welcomed the continued support of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the secretary general of the league, for various initiatives supporting Arab youth carried out by the Academy in cooperation with its partners from international, regional and local organizations, and praised the successful cooperation with UNIDO "investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain", the General Federation of Arab chambers, and the chambers of Commerce and industry in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, expressing his happiness to host the final event of the competition on the sidelines of the Dubai Expo and major international investment events, where he presented special awards from the Arab Academy to the top three winners of the competition.
In the first place of this year`S competition came the project” byful "from the state of Syria, an interactive and independent international social media platform that promotes the culture of volunteerism and promotes the performance of social responsibility, by providing mechanisms to connect volunteers and actors through an innovative technological system, and the project" WA INR " from the state of Palestine in second place, which provides technical solutions to treat gray water to reduce water consumption in public and private facilities. The third place was occupied by the project "l EU E. "from the state of Lebanon, which offers a sanitary pad for the use of women in menstrual periods, environmentally friendly, using 100% healthy, organic and biodegradable materials.
