AASTMT Participates in ESCWA "Transport and Logistics Committee" - Session 22

H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail AbdelGhafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and AASTMT Delegation participated in the meetings of the Committee on Transport and Logistics (Session 22) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) headed by H.E Mr. Talib Abdullah Bayesh - Deputy Minister of Transport in Iraq, that was held during 6 - 7 December 2021, in Cairo, in the presence of officials from the Ministries of Transport and Logistics in the Arab countries, the Economic Integration Sector of ESCWA, AASTMT Consultants, and Heads of Arab federations specialized in transport and logistics.
It’s worth to mention that AASTMT presented two papers on the Suez Canal - Evergreen Incident and its impact on transport and trade, AASTMT vision regarding the most important challenges of transitioning to electronic TIR Customs Transit Systems (eTIR), and AASTMT experience in cooperation with the International Road Transport Union (IRU) in areas of transport development in Arab countries.
