Lecture about the excavation site in the Qubet el-Hawa area of Aswan.

As part of the College of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage's commitment to providing practical and intellectual aspects for its students, which is being implemented under the patronage of his Excellency Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the college hosted a delegation from the Australian-English-Egyptian archaeological mission working at the excavation site in the Qubet el-Hawa area of Aswan. A lecture was held for the college's students and graduates in the presence of Dr. Monica Hanna, the Dean of the College of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage; Dr. Martin Bomas, Professor of History and Archaeologyc Dr. Mohsen Mohamed Saleh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University; Dr. Eman Khalifa, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University; Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Hafez, Faculty of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage at the Academy; and in attendance were Mahmoud Fayez el-Gohari and Aya Abdel Rahman from the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University.

The lecture covered an explanation of the archaeological sites where the mission operates, and how to deal with the nature of pottery in heritage sites, as well as its historical importance in understanding the nature of ancient societies in the past. The lecture also discussed how to preserve pottery, and the method of restoring the Qubet el-Hawa tombs, and the appropriate scientific methods that should be followed by the restorer to preserve the artifact, as well as the examination and analysis methods that are used to understand the nature of the production of these materials. The lecture also explained the construction method of adobe, and the methods of documentation used, as well as the tools used by archaeologists to become an important reference and archive.
