IEEE YESIST12, 2022 Prelim "Youth Endeavours For Social Innovation Using Sustainable Technology"

Opening ceremony of prelim of IEEE Yesist12 2022 organized by Mu Beta Chapter of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) for the first time in Egypt, and hosted by College of Engineering and Technology, AASTMT, Abu Kir campus.
The opening ceremony was held on July 3rd, 2022. We are beyond thankful to Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghafar - إسماعيل عبدالغفار (President of Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and Chair of the Prelim Competition) for his support. We were honored by the presence of many esteemed professors and professionals from the industry. The opening ceremony was started with seven distinguished welcome messages from Prof. Akram Soliman Elselmy (Dean of College of Engineering and Technology and Vice Chair of the Prelim Competition), Prof. Alaa Abdel Bary (AASTMT Vice President for post graduate studies and scientific research), Prof. Yousry El-Gamal (AASTMT President Consultant and former minister of education), Prof. Said El-Khamy (Professor of Electrical Engineering at Alexandria University), Dr. Ramalatha Marimuthu (IEEE-YESIST12 Chair), Prof. Heba Shaban (Chair of Prelim Competition’s organizing committee (pilot SPOC) and faculty advisor of Mu Beta Chapter), and Mr. Ramneek Kalra (IEEE-YESIST12 IEngage Track chair).
We also had the privilege of having prelim steering committee members among the attendees namely, Prof. Moustafa H. Aly, Prof. Yasser El-Sonbaty, and Prof. Yasser G. Eldessouki, in addition to Heads of Departments from College of Engineering and Technology and many distinguished faculty members.
We would like to thank all the participants, organizers and volunteers. Special thanks to organizing committee Vice Chair Dr. Rania Ibrahim, and organizing committee members Dr. Ahmed Anas, Eng. Ali Tariq, Eng. Mona Mamdouh Eng. Rojina Mahmoud Fathy, and Eng. Amira Mamdouh.
