Program Aim
The aim of this program is to equip the student with technical and research skills that required to efficiently and professionally operate various industrial safety Management systems and with respect of environmental considerations. Also, to enhance student research capabilities and expand his/her research horizon.
Program Objectives
By the end of the program the student will acquire the following knowledge:
- Understand principles of risk and safety operations management,
- Identify essential knowledge and state of the art technology that used in industrial safety management systems,
- Risk evaluation and risk assessment modern methods and techniques
- Modern techniques used in maintaining quality of safety and security in working places and vocational health arrangements,
- Relevant Regulatory legal framework of maritime safe and secure operations,
- New fire-fighting safety management concepts in ship and port management techniques,
- Concept of Team Management and leadership skills required to maintain safe operations,
- Develop and sustain awareness in management of ship and port operations with considerations of Environmental Impact Assessment,
- Principles of safety administration management, port state control arrangements and ship surveying procedures.
