ISCEA Provides its First Masterclass in Egypt about Integrating AI with Supply Chain Management

In April 2024, the International Transport and Logistics Institute in Alexandria (ITLI), at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) was thrilled to host Mr. Jorge Morales - COO of the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) in the US - in his first visit not only to Egypt but the Middle East, after a long lasting cooperation between the ISCEA and ITLI, where he had a tour visiting the AASTMT headquarters in Abu Qir which included the Planetarium and the Simulator, and on behalf of His Excellency Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar - AASTMT President - Mr. Morales was awarded the Academy’s Trophy by Prof. Alaa Abdelbarry - AASTMT Vice President for Postgraduate Studies & Scientific Research.

ITLI has organized a special event: “The First ISCEA Egypt Annual Event; Artificial Intelligence in the Supply Chain Sector”, where Mr. Morales gave a Masterclass Workshop about integrating AI with Supply Chain Management at the AAST Miami Campus with an audience of 100+ attendees of supply chain undergraduate and post graduate students and alumni, in addition to practitioners. Mr. Morales has also seized the chance to honor the ISCEA Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA) certification holders in Egypt with the ISCEA special pin.

Prof. Sara Elzarka - ITLI Dean & ISCEA Advisory Board Member - gave a supply chain career development seminar on the importance of being internationally certified, in addition to highlighting the benefits of the ISCEA certification programs and the exclusive special scholarships when enrolling through ITLI AASTMT. Prof. Elzarka also presented all the success stories done in Egypt in coordination with the ISCEA.

Mr. Omar Hagras - President of the ISCEA AAST Alamein Student Chapter for Undergraduates & a CITL Alamein Supply Chain Student - gave a presentation about the chapter’s achievements and their future vision.

Dr. Mahmoud Mansi - ITLI Marketing Coordinator & ISCEA Competition Coordinator in Egypt - presented the success story of the ISCEA Global Case Competition 2023 where the AAST students from Aswan won the third place globally, and he shared the plan for the 2024 competition, in addition to announcing the launch of the ISCEA ITLI Egypt first post graduate chapter globally.
